Predict limited time.
By 2050 there will be real evidence of a dramatic change in the availability of fuel, food, electricity and human welfare etc., with increasing evidence over the following 50 years to the point where by 2100, some are saying, the world's human population will have decreased from 9 billion in 2050 to 1 billion by 2100.
Signs of the coming of Jesus Messiah.
Jesus' early disciples ask Him when He would return. He said He did not know, only the Father in Heaven knew. He then assured them that there would be 'signs', another word would be 'indicators', which would grab the attention of future disciples pointing them to His coming again.
Matthew 24:36. NKJV. "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
Signs & Seals
Deception. Matthew 24:23-27 & Revelation 6:1-2. In Matthew Jesus warns of the deception of false Christ's (messiahs) coming in His Name and working wonders. The Holy Spirit in Revelation 6:1-2 gives the apostle John a vision of Jesus the Lamb of God opening a series of seals, the 1st Seal revealing a person dressed in white and riding a white horse, he has bow in his hand and a crown on his head. It would appear to be a deception, when compared to the revelation of the coming of the real Messiah Jesus in Revelation 19:11-16. The one riding this white horse is called Faithful and True, this is no deception. On his head are many crowns, He is King of kings. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, His blood shed on the cross. He is called the WORD OF GOD. The name of Jesus Messiah. From His mouth goes a sharp sword. He speaks the Word of God, which is as a sharp sword. Revelation 1:16; 19:15. He strikes the ungodly nations with the power of God's Word. Ephesians 6:17 He does not engage them in battle with human weapons, but with the mighty Word of God, to the pulling down of strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4
War, Violence & Conflict. Matthew 24:6-7; Jesus is recorded as saying, "...you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom..." Revelation 6:3-4. "When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come and see." Another horse, fiery red went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth..."
The history of man, for thousands of years, has been full of conflict, violence and war, but nothing compared to the 20th century
The recent century, the 20th, is listed as the century of war. Apart from local wars there were two conflicts, the magnitude of which was unknown in the history of mankind...Two World Wars 1914 - 1918 and 1939 - 1945. No one reading this, I think, lived in the time of the First World War, but many would have lived in the time of the Second World War, I did, and so did my wife. I lived in the north west of England and experienced little bombing, but at night, laying in bed I could see the great flashes of light in the far distance as the docks in the town of Preston were being targeted, night after night, with high explosive bombs.
My wife, Rita, lived in London, which experienced the full blast of what was called the 'blitz', night after night, week after week, and in the early stages, month after month of bombing with incendiary bombs and massive high explosive bombs in their thousands and thousands killing hundred and thousands of people and destroying great areas of property large and small. She and her Mum would sleep in the air raid shelter in their garden, in the mornings they would get up to see houses near them destroyed, her Mum would thank the Lord they were safe.
This destruction was all over Europe and other parts of the world. Millions of military personnel were killed as well as great numbers of civilians.
Jesus told us, His disciples, to look for the signs indicating His return. Maybe it's no long now.
Famine & Scarcity. Matthew 24:7b. And Revelation 6:5-6. I wrote in a previous blog about the scientist's predictions concerning the future 100 years...the increasing shortage of fuel, electricity, food, human well-being, war, as a result, to a great extent, of climate change. The increase then decline of the world human population. The Bible also speaks of some of these things as 'signs' of the end of the age and the return of Jesus Messiah.
Revelation 6:5-6 "...He opened the third seal...A black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice...saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius..." verse 8 "...power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with...hunger..."
Matthew 24:7 "for nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famine..."
The 20th century has been a century of famine.
FAMINE: Ethiopia, Somalia, Angola, Mozambique, Sudan, Rwanda, China, N. Korea, Bangladesh.
Cause: Drought, floods, temperature change.
PESTILENCE: An epidemic of contagious disease.
Drug resistant malaria 300,000,000 towards the end of the 20th century.
Drug resistant sexual transmitted disease. Gonorrhea, Herpes, Syphilis.
CHIAMYDIA. Trachoma...single main cause of blindness in the world.
HAEMORRHAGE FEVER. Bodily organs turn to mush and bleeding from every bodily orifice. Source. Rats in W. Africa. 90% mortality.
Many of these problems continue.
Death. Matthew 24:7. Not only famine and scarcity, but DEATH as a result of EARTHQUAKES. "...And there will be earthquakes in various places."
Revelation 6:7-8. "When he opened the fourth seal, I heard a living creature saying "Come and see." So I looked, and behold a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death."
The past century, the 20th was a century of DEATH.
200 MILLION died in wars.
3 MILLION died by famine.
MILLIONS as a result of SICKNESSES (as noted above).
TENS OF THOUSANDS by EARTHQUAKES.
In the UK alone 5 MILLION BABIES DIED by ABORTION.
15 MILLION died in the FIRST WORLD WAR.
70 to 80 MILLION died in the SECOND WORLD WAR.
28 MILLION died as a result of WAR RELATED DISEASES and FAMINE.
40 MILLION DIED in Russia from 1917 to 1940, during Stalin's regime.
60 MILLION DIED in China during the MAO-TSE TUNG regime.
6 MILLION Jews SLAUGHTERED by Hitler.
1 MILLION Slavs' and Gypsies SLAUGHTERED by Hitler.
KAZAKHSTAN. 400 ATOM BOMBS dropped as Russia, under Stalin's regime, tested the atom bomb from the 1940's to the 1950's.
A CENTURY of DEATH...
MARTYRS. Matthew 24:9. "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake..."
Revelation 6:9. "When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the alter the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held..."
The 20th century was a century of Christian martyrdom, and it still goes on now in the 21st century.
From 1917 to 1950, during the reign of Stalin in Russia, it is estimated 15 million Christians and others were martyred.
From 1950 to 1980 in China it is estimated 700,000 Christians where martyred.
It is said 1 MILLION Christians were systematically exterminated during the Nazi regime in Germany.
Between 1971 and 1979 about 300,000 Christians were killed in Uganda under the regime of Idi Amin.
Even today tens of thousands of Christians are martyred each year across the world.
Lawlessness & Terrorism. Revelation 6:12-17. Matthew 24:12a. The 20th century has been a century of terror and purges.
Pol Pot in Cambodia. Lawlessness and terror through the Khmer Rough.
Stalin. Russia. Hundreds of thousands died under his dictatorship.
Hitler. Germany. Jews, Christians, Gypsies, Slavs and others were exterminated.
So much terrorism still continues today under different names.
JESUS MESSIAH said there would be signs, indicators of HIS soon RETURN.
Maybe it's not too long before HE comes..
